Fine arista tile made in Toledo between 1500 and 1525. similar tile in the collection of the V&A museum in London, pictured in: Spanish Pottery by A. Ray, picture 743. Tile is very good condition, light wear to glaze and sides. Yellow glaze with some small bubbles. Backside cut to all four sides, which is usually the case for these early spanish tiles. Including wooden frame. Provenance: old collection Barcelona.
