SP2894 Woolworkers guild € 700.00

Manises tile decorated with the symbol of wool workers, symbol given by Jean I to the guild in 1395. The instrument painted on the tile is a tool with hooks used by woolworkers. Tile probably came from a Floor of a house in Valencia, Quart Street 26. This and another house in Valencia belonged to the Wool workers guild. Condition is very good condsidering with some damage to top left corner. Probably set between hexagonal tiles. The floor was dismantled around 1950 and sold by an antique dealer.
