Rare glazed tile with engobe decoration, 120 x 120 mm, coat of arms of Pierre de Nivelle, abbot of Cîteaux (1625-1635), from the Château de Gilly-lès-Cîteaux, Argilly workshop, Burgundy, France early 17th century. The arms of Gilly-lès-Cîteaux feature the crest of a golden hind with a cross or five-fingered star above. Good condition considering the age and function of floor tile. Good original patina.
