A set of beautiful French medieval floor tiles. Some tiles with this decor were found before 1900 in Rue St-Philibert, Dijon by the sculptor M. Schanoski. The tiles are decorated with the text: BELLE, meaning beautiful, with the letter G on one side and a flower on the other. The tiles come from the department of Côte-d'Or, France and were made in the 15th century. Good condition tiles with wear consistent with age and use.
