This is an antique Art Nouveau relief-moulded tile, manufactured by T & R Boote in Burslem, England, around 1900. The tile features a highly stylized, symmetrical design typical of the Art Nouveau period, possibly representing a simplified floral or organic motif. The decoration is created using the dust-pressed relief technique, where clay powder is pressed into a mould to create the raised (embossed) pattern. The corners have been cut off so that the tile can be fixed into a washstand cabinet, which was common practice in England.
