AN4956 Servais tileset € 139,00

This impressive pair of high-relief ceramic tiles was produced around 1900 by Lamberty, Servais & Cie in Ehrang, Germany. The composition forms a continuous scene across two tiles, depicting water lilies floating. The blossoms emerge in full relief above the surface, their softly modeled petals contrasted by the flatter, horizontal lines of the water. Lily pads and buds are arranged in a naturalistic yet carefully balanced rhythm, creating a serene and harmonious composition typical of the Art Nouveau fascination with nature. The glossy surface enhances the depth of the relief, allowing light to play across the raised forms and emphasizing the three-dimensional quality of the design. With a thickness of approximately 2 cm, these tiles are notably substantial, underscoring their architectural purpose and craftsmanship.
