Extraordinary dust-pressed relief Art Nouveau tile decorated with stylised floral motifs in brown, orange,yellow and blue. This tile was made around 1900. The decoration of abstract floral motifs is embossed using the dust-press technique, in which clay powder is compressed under high pressure in a mould. Maker: Servais Werke, Ehrang AG, Germany. This tile is 6" square. The condition of the tile is very good, with clear glaze. Even the reverse side is fine with the name of the factory in beautiful letters.
