Set of Art Nouveau tiles depicting a swan and water lilies. This set was made in Germany at Osterather Mosaik- und Wandplattenfabrik G.m.b.H.Osterath.The factory was established in 1902. This set is insanely hard to find, much harder than sets with swans and water lilies from other factories. The condition of the tiles is very good with very clear glaze and good relief. The tile with the single water lily has a small glaze damage in the upper left corner. The decoration is embossed by Dust-pressed technique where clay powder is compressed under high pressure in a mold. The reverse side is clean, these tiles were probably used in a piece of furniture and did not bite into the wall.
