This is a stunning example of an Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) tile, attributed to the Mügeln factory (Ofen Porzellan und Tonwarenfabrik Mügeln G.m.b.H. Germany), which was a prolific producer of these highly stylized tiles around the turn of the 20th century (c. 1900). The tile's design is executed in relief using the dust-press technique, resulting in the sharp, detailed contours typical of German decorative tiles from this era. The tile features a bold, highly stylized floral or botanical motif set against a warm, luminous pale yellow or cream background. In good condition, with some imperfections in the glaze in the form of very fine bubbles in the glaze at the edges of the tile.
