AN4149 Lauger tile RESERVED

Art Nouveau tile designed by Max Laeuger (1864-1952) in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century. The relief tile is decorated with clay slip and various glazes. The representation is a brown tree with green leaves on a dark blue background. In 1898, the “Tonwerke Kandern Art Pottery” was founded under the direction of Max Laeuger, who celebrated his first major success at the 1900 World's Fair in Paris. This tile is still in excellent condition with very bright glaze.
