This tile by M.O.P.F., Meissner Ofen- und Porzellanfabrik, formerly Ernst Teichert, is a fine Art Nouveau example from around 1900. The composition is symmetrical and centered on a richly modeled floral motif. A deep pink flower crowns the design, its petals softly shaded for depth and warmth. Flowing stems descend gracefully into mirrored leaf forms below. The relief is finely dust-pressed, giving the surface a smooth yet sculptural quality. Olive-green leaves contrast subtly with the pale grey ground. Good condition tile, few small glaze chips, updated by previous owner. Glaze defect in upper left corner.
