Art Nouveau tile by M.O.& P.F. Meissen (Meissner Ofen- und Porzellanfabrik), circa 1905. This elegant ceramic tile originally formed part of a hat rack or coat stand and features a refined Jugendstil geometric design in soft green/grey and yellow tones. The tile has a beautiful glossy glaze and finely executed relief decoration. Condition is wonderful overall, with only minor glaze imperfections along the edges, likely originating from the production process. It is possible that this example was a second-quality piece intended for use in furniture such as hat racks.
