Beautiful and relatively rare Art Nouveau ceramic tile produced by Norddeutsche Steingutfabrik (NStG), Grohn, Germany, around 1905. The tile depicts a stylized flower with a long, elegant stem and large leaf, rendered in flowing, organic lines typical of the Art Nouveau style. A particularly attractive feature of this tile is the deep dark blue background, which enhances the warm tones of the flower and gives the design a strong visual contrast. The decoration is executed in embossed relief using the dust-pressed technique, resulting in crisp contours and a refined surface. Good antique condition with light craquelure and a few very tiny glaze chips to sides.
