AN4804 Grohner Wandplatten tile € 89.00

Art Nouveau wall tile, produced by Grohner Wandplattenfabrik, circa 1906–1920. This square ceramic tile features a stylised grape motif, a classic symbol of abundance and nature, rendered in a bold Jugendstil design. At the centre hangs a richly modelled cluster of deep blue grapes, formed in pronounced relief, creating a strong sense of volume and depth. The grapes are suspended from a short stem framed by two large, symmetrical green vine leaves, whose softly contoured forms echo the organic language of Art Nouveau. The tile is executed in moulded relief with translucent, flowing glazes. light wear and fine glaze crazing consistent with age.
