This is another exquisite example of an Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) relief tile, highly characteristic of the German style, and produced by the Grohner Wandplattenfabrik AG near Bremen around the turn of the 20th century. The tile presents a striking and complex interlaced or strapwork motif that aligns with the more abstract and linear direction of Jugendstil design.
