A beautiful Art Nouveau relief tile by S.O.F. Meissen, decorated with an elegant water scene featuring koi fish swimming around a stylised water lily with floating leaves. The decoration in relief was made by compressing clay powder under high pressure in a mold. The fish from Otto Eckmann's woodcut (1899) were used in the design of this tile! Excellent condition tile.
