Decorative Art Nouveau ceramic tile produced by Gilardoni & Fils, Choisy-le-Roi, France, around 1910. The tile measures approximately 8 inches square. The design depicts a beautifully detailed bird perched on a branch, set against a stylized landscape with a rising or setting sun and distant rock formations. The composition reflects the strong influence of Art Nouveau nature themes, with elegant lines and a harmonious palette of warm browns, soft blues, and cream tones. The fine outlines and subtle glazing give the scene a delicate painterly quality. Originally from a trivet / tile stand, therefore showing light traces of use. There are some small surface scratches and slight discoloration in the crazing, consistent with age and use.
