Art Nouveau tile featuring a depiction of a figure surrounded by floral relief motifs. The tile is finished in a beautiful red glaze and was produced between 1900 and 1910. The inscription on the reverse indicates that it was made in Shropshire, England, at the factory of **Craven Dunnill & Co.** (active from 1871 to 1951). Today, a tile museum is housed in the former factory buildings, well worth a visit. The condition of this tile is exceptionally good.
