This striking Art Nouveau tile was produced by Boizenburger Wandplattenfabrik, Boizenburg an der Elbe, Germany, and dates to approximately 1905–1910, shortly after the factory was established in 1903. The design features a highly stylised ram's head enclosed within an ornamental circular border, rendered in deep green transfer print against a cream-white ground. Intricately patterned curling horns, delicate stippled shading, and flowing Jugendstil linework create a bold yet elegant composition. The reverse is unmarked but exhibits the distinctive ribbed backing associated with the early production of Boizenburger Wandplattenfabrik, allowing the tile to be confidently attributed to the factory. The tile is in excellent antique condition, with a clean, glossy surface, crisp transfer decoration.
