This charming Art Nouveau tile was produced by Boizenburger Wandplattenfabrik, Boizenburg an der Elbe, Germany, shortly after the factory's founding in 1903, and dates to approximately 1905–1910. The design depicts a stylised ram enclosed within an ornamental circular border, executed in the elegant graphic style associated with the Jugendstil movement. Printed in deep green with finely detailed line work and subtle stippling The reverse is unmarked but displays the characteristic ribbed backing used by Boizenburger Wandplattenfabrik during its early years of production, allowing the tile to be confidently attributed to the factory. The tile is in very good antique condition with a clean, glossy glaze and crisp printed decoration. There are a couple of small edge chips along the right-hand side, as shown in the photographs, which are minor and do not detract from the overall display.
